我去旋轉餐廳－ the view restaurant && [复制链接]

某個星期天朋友打電話來，問我們要不要去旋轉餐廳吃brunch buffet，早聽說過MERRIOTT HOTEL的自助餐不錯，於是我們一行四人，開車到曼哈頓。fficeffice" />

The View Restaurant & Lounge位於曼哈頓時代廣場Merriott Hotel的47樓，紐約唯一的屋頂旋轉餐廳兼酒吧，平時只有晚上才開，只是星期天有Brunch Buffet（早餐和午餐一起的自助餐）。這個自助餐適合像我這類想盡量享受高質素生活，卻沒有高收入一族。

星期天的旋轉餐廳，人不是很多，可以坐到靠落地窗的位子。離玻璃窗稍遠就是高台，那裏又有一排餐台，雖然離玻璃窗遠了些，但不會妨礙視線。侍者將印有各個著名建築物圖案位置的餐巾放在桌上，好讓我們知道自己望到的是哪一幢大樓，除了將赫赫有名的大小建築都能一覽無遺之外，還能看到遠處的哈德遜河、近處的東河和在水霧中若隱若現自由女神。

Brunch的食物非常豐富，有各種沙拉、燻三文魚、燻白魚、各種鮮榨的果汁、新鮮水果、煎蛋卷（有廚子按你指定的配菜煎煮），各種熟食包括烹飪各種方煮的土豆和品種繁多的甜品。（老外的甜品太甜了，有點受不了）

餐廳每一轉為一小時，那天我們轉了小時，其間外子興致起叫了兩瓶礦泉水，以為像其他餐廳一樣是免費的，誰知埋單時才知道是八個大洋一瓶，真是“心疼的感覺”。

晚上去的話又另有一番情趣，在酒吧要一杯酒或一杯由有機栽培的黑茶茶葉泡制出來的冰茶，有黑莓，芒果，桃子各種風味，三五知已，一杯在手，品嚐著醉醺醺的味道，觀看夜景的變化，如果是和心上人一起，更是醉意無限。

I had dinner there a couple of years ago.  The 360 degree view was nice and even the food was pretty decent.

If you want to have a really breathtaking view of midtown Manhattan, try "Top of the Rock" observation deck at Rockefeller Center.

I like Japanese food too.  My favorite Japanese restaurant is Nobu, located at 105 Hudson Street in Tribeca.  They also opened a "Nobu Next Door" right next to the original Nobu, as well as a "Nobu fifty Seven" on 57th Avenue. This restaurant group is jointly owned by, among others, celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert De Niro.  To dine at Nobu and Nobu 57, you need to make reservations well in advance (at least two weeks). But if you want to go spur of the moment, you can try Nobu Next Door, which has a no reservation policy.

光之谷、自在：我們那天旋了三小時，兩人共花費一百三十多美元，合理的收費。餐食及不上中菜，跟所有的美國食物一樣，都是一個濃重的芝士味道，沒有什麼特別，甜品更是不敢恭維，但環境一流，令人賞心悅目。不像在中餐館進餐，侍應打仗似的在你身邊跑來跑去，如敵軍殺過來一樣。一旦瞄到你的盤中餐所剩無幾，目無表情的侍應呯的一聲將一張帳單放在你的桌子上，言下之意：盡快挪開你的屁股讓下一台人上來。在這樣的氣氛下，就算盤中是山珍百味，都會令人掃興。

I agree that it’s difficult to plan a meal two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, for many of the most exclusive restaurants in ffice:smarttags" />Manhattan, you need to make reservations several weeks, and in some cases, even months, ahead of time.fficeffice" />

If you like Italian food, I highly recommend Il Giglio, a small but cozy restaurant located at 81 Warren Street in lower Manhattan. I have dined there perhaps a dozen times, and I have yet to be disappointed. The food is exceptional, the ambience is inviting, and the service is impeccable. They serve you a variety of breads and delicious bites even before handing you the menu.  And I especially like the extensive selection of veal dishes.  This place is pricey, but, in my opinion, well worth the money.
