Other than wars, revolution and education are two of the most powerful social equalizers in the history of mankind.
In the United States, people are well-fed and well-dressed, so they have no appetite for revolutions.
At least not yet.
However, for those of us who are not born leaders (such as Liu Bang) or born entrepreneurs (such as Wang Yung Xing or Apple founder Steve Jobs),
education remains a good choice for climbing the American social ladder.
