On Nov 09 2018, Friday afternoon, Luther Mei and Susan(wife) arrived gate of 端芬中學 to find 193x ? my mom 劉香濃 taught in 端芬中學. Dad 梅桌楊 substitute teacher 端芬中學 ...met mom.
Driver, Mr. Cheung, Tour Guide, Ms. Li Shuen, Susan and me (Luther) were welcome at the Reception Bldg (built before 1920). The on-duty school official repeated that there is no record of teachers prior to 1949. The record is the same given by the New York Chapter of Duanfen School Alumni, Mrs. Moy of Chairman Ramond Moy.
Before we left school, we handed the red "Lucky Money" envelop with US$300 to the official.
Happily, we proceed to visit the documented Institution of Taishan County Women Teacher Academy/School(台山縣立女子鄉村師範學校) whose teachers rock the cradle of MODERN CHINA.
And the Duanfen Middle School bears the fruit of the earliest educators from that Academy.
All the visits are enlightened by China Travel Service (CTS) Worldwide.
